Ruff Ryders member Drag-On most often seen as the man in background, or DMX’s sidekick is stepping to the forefront this year. Drag-On created his own label, Hood Environment Entertainment with a roster full of up and coming New York rappers. The first release on Hood Environment Entertainment will be Drag-On’s third solo album: My Life, My Legacy, My Melody slated to be released in 2010. Look out for Drag’s new album and more from the H.E. camp this year, also check out Drag’s 2007 Hood Environment mixtape, if you haven’t already, this man’s a problem.

C-Rayz Walz -The Family Crest by Monsterkings
As many of you already know Guru of Gang Starr fame had a heart attack recently and has been in the hospital since. Details remain sketchy and it appears that he had already been in the hospital for nearly a month previous to the info going public. It sounds like he had a successful surgery and is recovering, which is great. On the other hand it sounds like all of his business, press releases and even medical decisions are being made by his new found partner Super Average producer Solar, which seems very shady. There is currently a #FUCKSOLAR movement on twitter being lead by Bumpy Knuckles and other hip hop notables. We wish Guru a successful and speedy recovery. Hopefully he severs ties with this so-called producer when he gets better. Until then here is C-Rayz Walz original Gang Starr dedication from 2009.
